“The NFL is working with its drivers licensing experts to ensure everyone who has a license is safe while they are in our facilities,” the league said in a statement.
“We’re making progress in identifying and addressing drivers who have tested positive for drugs in the past, and we will continue to do so in the future.”
The league says it will also work with its members to prevent the same mistake from happening again.
A report last week by the AP revealed that a team’s security officer had a “rough ride” on a team car after a drug test.
He was suspended for two games and has since been released.
This comes as several players have been arrested for DUI and other offenses in recent years.
The NFL has also said that it is working to prevent players from being arrested or fined for driving while intoxicated.
