How to file a lawsuit against Jackson lawyer: The law

The New York attorney general is suing a New York City police officer for allegedly assaulting him.

Lawyers for Officer Daniel Jackson say they’re ready to take their case to trial.

Jackson, a former police officer in the Bronx, was charged with two counts of battery and two counts misdemeanor counts of resisting arrest in a May 17 incident.

His lawyers say he was hit by another officer while trying to remove a cellphone from Jackson’s hand.

They also say Jackson was resisting arrest when he was punched, kicked and handcuffed.

Jackson and his attorney did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
